3-Fees

The following information is only the most basic fee scale. I’m always open to negotiation, but also realize that your work is as individual as you are, and therefore your bid may be different than the scale listed below. *
Standard rates for Copyediting:
$0.012 – $0.02 per word ~ This is a typical charge for simple copyediting, or line-by-line editing, which includes proofreading, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure, mechanics of style, consitency of writing, and manuscript formatting.
Standard rates for Structural Editing:
$0.02 – $0.04/word per page ~ which includes copyediting as well as editing for story, style, and structure including manuscript content, story arc, style, character arcs, world-building, jargon, eliminating cliches, etc.
*NOTE:
~ please allow at least a 24 hour turnaround unless other arrangements have been made.
~ large projects (over 50 pages): 1/2 is due up front (nonrefundable), 1/2 when completed
~ no X-rated or pornographic material please. “Adult” material is fine.
~ I reserve the right to reject any material for any reason or return the material at any time.
~ If I cannot do your work, I will be happy to refer you to other experienced freelance editors.
